Frontier Town, Ocean City

Better late than never, I thought that I better blog bout our trip to Frontier Town that we took in late June for one week. What a blast it was!!! After packing what felt like our entire house, we were off on a Sunday morning by 5 am. Despite going in and out of rain the entire drive down, everyone was in a good mood and sooo excited to get there. Our friends had already arrived one day prior. Hannah had her dance recital on Saturday (another blog I have neglected to do, bad bad blogger I am) so we had to delay our arrival by one day. The weather did not want to cooperate for the first two days but at least it didn't pour down rain the entire day. It was overcast and a few showers here and there, but not enough to spoil the fun! After a relatively easy set up, we hung around the campground the first day. We each took a night to make dinner for everyone and I made lasagna the first night. On Monday the weather was looking better and we decided to head to the beach. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and Hannah loved to jump the waves. Cody enjoyed the sand but is still not a big fan of the water. Instead, he liked for me to hold him and watch the waves come in on my feet. It was so nice to have friends and other kids around to keep everyone occupied. They all played so well together. Ralph and Renee were so much fun to camp with. There was never a dull moment.

One of the greatest things about Frontier Town was the free waterpark right there at the campground. So on Tuesday we headed there for the day. They have a great kiddie area with slides. We also enjoyed the lazy river where I got dunked many times under the waterfalls by the guys (for some reason they found this to be so amuzing).

We went out for dinner two nights, once at Fish Tails, which was really cool because we ate outside and kids were able to play at the pirate ship right next to our table. The tables were in the sand and we watched the sunset on the bay. The last night we were there we ate seafood at Waterman's, which was very good. Can't go to the beach and not have seafood! By Wednesday we headed back to the beach and that evening walked the boardwalk and had our Polish Ice!! On Thursday we went back to the waterpark for a few hours and poor Cody was so exhausted that he was falling asleep at the table while eating his pizza. We decided to go back to the camper and take naps. Connie had made tacos for us that night, yummy! On Friday we hung out at the pool and Hannah was learning how to jump off the side thanks to Chloe! The week went by so fast, but we enjoyed every minute. This was a defintely one of our favorite trips and we plan to go back next year. We couldn't believe how much there was to do. My favorite part about it is that you are 5 minutes from the beach but then you can get away from the city and have so much to do at the campground. Loved, loved, loved it!!
