I Love Mondays

Yes, I'm probably one of the few people in this world who love Mondays. I love being home and spending time with my kids. Today is a beautiful fall day...I love this time of year but it is sad to say goodbye to summer. What a great summer we had. Probably the most memorable times were at the Outer Banks in a gorgeous home that Dr. Lanpher so graciously invited us to. And we can't forget our disastrous camping trip in a tent over the 4th of July when we left 3 hours after setting up. Cody was not walking quite yet and lets just say it didn't work out too well. I guess we won't have to worry about that anymore since we will be camping in luxary now:) Hannah and a good time at Hershey Park with Morgan and Lexi. And we had many good times out on the boat once we had our roof!!

Today was a great catch up day. With plenty of laundry and housework to do....and i successfully made my first roasted chicken (thanks to Mom). Hannah went to dance class and then we spent the afternoon together while Cody takes his nap. We are now getting ready to leave for Cody's doctor appointment, ugh, more shots. Better go wake him now and get ready to go. Happy Monday!!

We Got Our 5th Wheel Camper!!!

Wow, what a busy week we had! The highlight of course was being able to come home on Sunday with our new 5th wheel camper! It was quite the experience getting this thing home though. Little did we know at the time that Maryland and PA do not work well together. We couldn't get a temporary tag to bring it home so we knew that we would be making another trip to Cumberland. It was well worth the aggravation though. We absolutely love it. I never thought i'd own something quite like this! We've spent the last two days cleaning it and loading it, thinking we would like to at least go once before the season is over! We took a trip to Wal-Mart yesterday and stocked up on supplies. Now we just need to decide where to go first! And let's just hope that the kids are happy campers this time :)

Another fun weekend!

Well, my weekend started off Friday night with workshop at Tammy's. It was a fun night and i got a lot accomplished, 7 pages of Cody's first scrapbook! Of course by the time i fell asleep around 1 am, it was time for Jimmy to get up and go hunting around 4 am! Thankfully the kids allowed some sleep in time on Sat am. We did some shopping at Target and then by the time Jimmy got home at lunch we decided to go look at some campers. Still haven't found the one but having a lot of fun looking. No sooner were we home, i decided to get my grocery shopping done and by the time i was home for the evening, everyone was exhausted from the day. Cody had a meltdown at bathtime. He is really starting to throw the temper tantrums. On Sunday i got some cleaning and laundry done and then went to Melissa's house for Hayley's birthday which Hannah was so excited for all weekend. We all had a good time. We ended the day outside with Hannah playing in the sprinkler with Morgan and Lexi. I stopped over at Tammy's and chatted for a while and Jimmy and Bo shot some archery in the backyard. The kids were exhausted! We got baths and everyone hit the hay. It was a great weekend! Looking forward to a day off tomorrow!

My first blog!

Welcome to my blog! This is all new to me, so I guess I'll just write what comes to mind. I always liked keeping a diary when i was a kid and I guess this is sort of like my family's diary. It is so nice to look back on all the memories made. With two little ones who are growing so fast, I thought this would be a good time to start. I just took Hannah to her second dance class. She is so adorable! We took Lexi to dance today too because her Pappy just had surgery. It has been a lot of fun meeting our neighbors and i think often how blessed we are to live next to two little girls Hannah's age.

Little Cody is also getting quite big! He is almost 19 months old already and has been walking for month or two now. He is much happier now that he can get where he wants to go. He is starting to talk more and more each day.

Today is also special because it's our wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been six years since we stepped foot onto that hugh cruise ship and set sail for the Western Carribean. I hope to have many many more years to come.
